My Island (2012)

The painter and performance artist, Raychel, explains how is it like to be young in Cuba and deal with an ambiguous relationship with the actual government. In an intimate way he reveals through out his emotional and sincere speech, a generation with a hunger for self-expression and a longing to be connected to the world, even with all the ideological limitation imposed by the island. With a strong political and social reference and inspiration, the artist shows through his art how is like to live and grow up under a regime of exception.
