The Flintlock Disaster is a true story documentary about Marine Corps Squadron VMF 422, The Flying Buccaneers, and the cover up that ensued as they were sent to impending doom flying into a typhoon in the South Pacific in 1944. 23 aircraft were lost and 6 pilots died, while the others did their best to survive for 72 hours in the water waiting to be rescued. One pilot made it to the destination. And one pilot, "Jake" Wilson, beached his corsair on a island paradise.
