A coming of age film, The Story of My Family looks at the modern day family dynamics in the ultimate cultural melting pot of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, California. We center on the Mercado's, a Mexican family pieced together through tragedy, love, and divorce. They are trying to live the American Dream through hard work, perseverance, and education.
