A lonely and vulnerable shoe-shiner kid holds a silent fascination for a transvestite - prostituting next to him on a Copacabana beach sidewalk. One night they share a client, but end up fighting over his gift coin. Beseeching the goddess of the sea, they soon find a better fortune.
