RUNNING FOR THE ROCKIES is a poetic look at my own relationship with the outdoors while living in the California urban sprawl. The film juxtaposes footage of myself running through the dark streets of Orange County, with archival scenes of me at home in the mountains of New Mexico and Colorado. The film is woven together by my own voiceover and Chopin's 'Nocturne in C-sharp Minor.' Ultimately, the film questions what it means to live with oneself and be happy in an increasingly modern world.
