The eleven vignettes were born of a general idea about a ring and the connections it makes among people. The members of an actors' workshop created the words and plots, and each is a glimpse into the lives of very modern, very self-conscious, and in many ways, quite selfish Japanese adults. The stories zigzag in time and space, and it is up to the audience to make the connections.
