Wanted! Wives (1980)

Based on the files of the Lonely Hearts Club which counts thousands of members mostly looking for husbands and wives, the story is about romances by mail or what we call mail order brides. Cherie Gil plays Chona a city girl while Gina Alajar plays Rona a countryside maiden. Both are cousins. Chona has an American pen pal while Rona has her homegrown boyfriend. Jean Saburit is Julie while Tet Antiquiera is Delia. Both are prostitutes disguised as fashion models sharing a common dream of leading a new life in Germany particularly. They have German pen pals whom they hope to marry someday.
