Junk (2011)

JUNK is a documentary chronicling an annual event in a Pennsylvania small town where residents empty their attics and basements of unwanted possessions and the people who scavenge through the piles looking for hidden treasure. Set during the advent of the recession, JUNK explores the piles of trash that litter the sidewalks and the motivations of the people who sift through them, hoping to find working appliances, useable furniture, and the one priceless antique that will make them rich.
