Flicker (2005)

High schooler Dick Mueller lost his mother in a car crash due to neglect by a drunk driver. His father Richard, partially blaming Dick for the loss, sinks into the bottle himself. Although everything in life seems in a downward spiral, things change in a flicker when he meets Jane. His happiness is threatened when an ultimate flicker threatens to devastate an entire community.
