The Passion for Change (2011)

The 2008 Democratic National Convention fell on the week of the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King's speech 'I have a dream...', the 88th anniversary of women winning the right to vote and the 100th anniversary of the DNC being held in Colorado. Combined with the celebration of these anniversaries the Democratic Party nominees for President of the United States were the first ever African American male, Barack Obama, and the first female nominee, Hillary Clinton. 'The Passion For Change' follows five first-time Colorado Delegates through this historical event; exploring the issues, witnessing the protests, meeting the people on the streets, attending the caucuses and being swept up in the awe of the passion that consumed everyone for that one week in August, 2008.
