We're Getting On (2011)

Two life-long friends set off on a bike tour from Los Angeles to Seattle. One is promoting his novel -- whose cover contains birch seeds, and if planted, grows into trees. The other is filming the journey. Their careers depend on the success of the project, but halfway through the ride, their support team abandons them, and they find themselves alone, thousands of miles from home, with only each other to rely on.
