There are flashback shots of a teenage girl being raped by a man, slapped around by a woman or antagonized in other ways. The rape is on the rather implicit side, but in one of the shots, a closeup, the man's hand also can be seen wrapped around the girl's neck during the attack.

In multiple instances a two teenage boys ambush and rob an unsuspecting woman walking down the street, one attacker approaching from behind, seizing her, and the other from the front, snatching her effects such as purse and jewelry. One of their victims fights back and kicks the front attacker in the face.

A very turbulent physical altercation between teenage girls occurs, and several face punches are thrown, a while before adults arrive to break it up. The fight was two against one, to some extent.

Various characters smoke various drugs including marijuana, and in one case, an old man smokes a likely more potent article out of glass tube.

There is a lot of implicit alcohol consumption by teenagers and young adults at an apartment house party. The people can be seen drinking from red plastic cups, some while holding beer bottles. In one part, there is a view of shot glasses filled with clear liquor being picked up off a coffee table, and after a cutaway view, same shot glasses appear empty on the table.

In one scene, a man smokes a custom cigar, a blunt, while seated on a sofa near a coffee table full of bottles of liquor and wine. A teenage girl is seated beside him. In a later scene, at the same setting, multiple teenagers are smoking bluntettes, while speaking of getting high.
