Absolutely no blood or gore in this film. People get injured, some onscreen, but still no violence.

Depending on where you see it, the subtitles can be different. In the first one that I watched there were uses of profanities (even though that is not what they are actually saying in Japanese). Other versions had less or none in them.

Several scenes of ghosts and anticipation of seeing something spooky. It would depend on your level of tolerance of scary things. I saw it and though there were some tense moments, I thought that this was something a 10 year-old might be able to handle. However, my girlfriend (who is Japanese) saw it and was so scared she wont allow me to even mention the movie around her.
