A young man is attracted to an older woman. She resists his attention until one day they kiss passionately when alone in a park shed. It is implied that they had sex as it is mentioned later.

A main plot point involves a mother with an addicted adult daughter. She sustained a back injury and became addicted to pain medication. This addiction has driven the mother to do quite desperate things including sharing her own medications, lying to friends and lying to her own doctor.

The young woman's addiction issue reaches a crescendo towards the end which forces a turning point for all involved.
