the entire movie talks about drugs and Chris Herons experience with drugs. drugs mentioned are pot,meth,heroine, cocaine, and a pain kill i don't know how to spell. it is pronounced oxy-cotton. no drug use is showed but it is talked about,and as to how it was done. needles and snorting.

i wouldnt say that it is frightening but it does give an intense view of drugs and how easy it was to get them.

even though it is not rated i would say a pg or light pg-13. simply through bleeped f words and bleeped s words. and frequent drug talk through out the documentary.
