Doctor Mario Melazzini falls sick with ALS, an incurable disease which slowly paralyzes you until death. He chooses suicide, but the day before he asks himself the question: "is this what I want?" Confused, he retreats to the Alps, where something happens between his soul and the beauty of the mountains. So, he resumes his life and does something impossible, that is normal: he lives.
