The Footlocker documents three generations of family who discover their relative's life & service as a crewmember of an Army Air Corp bomb group during WWII. The veteran's life & experiences unfold through items including found gun-camera footage, a crew member's home movies taken overseas, correspondence, photos & keepsakes found locked in a military footlocker that has been sealed for decades. The moving film includes interviews with family members and WWII veterans who served with the film's subject. The director's artful & unusual presentation transitions the film from a clinical war documentary to a vivid and bittersweet love letter to past & current generations of veterans and military families. The United States Air Force participated in the film, providing consultation, newly recorded music & special footage & scenes filmed at Dover Air Force Base & Warner Robbins Air Force Base, Georgia.
