In order to better their lifestyle, the husband of a Goa-based family, which consists of his wife, and three young children, decides to travel abroad in a boat. His family bid a tearful farewell, and hope that he returns home soon. Shortly thereafter, the family will be devastated when they get the news that the boat has sunk in a storm, leaving no survivors. The wife, destitute and distressed, loses everything. Unable to bear to see her children starve, she decides to marry her husband's wealthy friend - a male she dislikes. The marriage takes place, and the family re-locate to live in their palatial home. Years later, the children have grown up with their step-father - little knowing that their biological father is still alive - but refuses to re-enter their lives.
