Malcolm dreams an arresting dream of a whale encounter. He cannot shake the feeling it leaves him with. In search of clues to the nature of whales, and our relationship with them, Malcolm launches into a 12 country, 8 year journey - away from the darkness of his work in visual effects studios, and across the world's oceans. Gaining unprecedented access to the world of whaling in several cultures, Malcolm discovers that this journey has deep roots leading back into his family history, and may shine light on our collective evolution as a species.
