On January 3rd 1968, the count of Verona was gunned down at a luxurious house in Acapulco. The events that led to his death have never been fully explored - until now. Acapulco 68 deals with a far away world. It is about the Acapulco that is lost in old movies, worn out photographs and blurry memories. An Acapulco that was living it's golden age, when it was visited by the most famous celebrities and the most renowned artists of the world. To this Acapulco arrived the dreams of Sofia Bassi and her daughter Claire, the count's wife. Mother and daughter, two of the most beautiful women of their time, were the central characters in the scandal which followed the count's death. Forty years later, this event is the starting point of a story of ambition, money, envy and death. A story that brings to light the internal deals of those who ran the country and untangles the web that brought together the Mexican upper class and it's government.
