Clara kisses the Prince on the lips lightly after she sees two of her relatives dance the Spanish Dance. This is partly because they decided to "test" her by approaching her wearing terrifying masks, and Clara is relieved when she discovers that the Prince has arranged for her relatives to dance for her. In other productions of the Nureyev version, Clara does not kiss the Prince at all.
