Amaterasu (2010)

A boy from Tokyo decides to visit his estranged mother's hometown in Niigata, Japan for some inspiration and clearance towards the future. There he is greeted by the expansive countryside and a nature spirit that leads him to unexpected encounters. An ode to Japanese mythology of Amaterasu, the Sun Goddess and Susanao, the God of the Wind.
