Love, You Hate Your Addiction is a short auto-biographical/documentary piece exploring the intersections between family love, struggle, and chemical dependency. It is a youth produced film working to tell the story of a teenage child of two drug addicts. This is a story that is under-represented and misunderstood at large in our society, and it is one that needs to be told. I am that child who is telling her story--now a young disabled woman filmmaker that four years ago decided to use media and film as a social-political tool, and as a space for personal healing. The film is currently part of a Reel Grrls produced drug prevention and awareness DVD compilation called Second Hand Hang-Over. It has screened at Washington state wide seminars.
