An ill, elderly woman's moments of senseless, yet eerie moaning are hard to watch.
A main character has a nightmare where a man comes up from behind him in the dark and grabs him.
Amour is extremely emotional and hard to watch at times. An elderly main character is, throughout the film, extremely and increasingly sick and her near-vegitative state causes her to helplessly moan; she is bed-ridden and cannot function, causing a nurse and her husband to help her. Very depressing discussions regarding assisted suicide and death are prominent throughout the film.
