Not many would think of comparing the sufferings of Jesus Christ with those who suffered execution during the Holocaust of WWII. However, and artist in the Desert in Southern Israel has created a sculpture that depicts this very thing, and he is receiving very passionate responses to it by the Israeli Jews who have viewd it. This documentary explores the message of the sculpture, which attempts to open up a dialogue about historical Jewish suffering and the Jewish Christ's compassion and identification with it. the discussion is facilitated through historical documentation, contemporary footage and first person interviews. The interview subjects include the artist of the sculpture, the executive director of the Orthodox 'Center for Jewish-Christian understanding and cooperation' and a Director of Yad Vashem.
