Many Haitians cross the island of Hispaniola to the Dominican Republic with the hope of finding a better life. This short documentary focuses on the issues faced by Haitian migrant women living in the neighboring country. As migrants, they become a particularly vulnerable population that is often discriminated, exploited and whose human rights are violated. The second part of the documentary features a participatory multimedia workshop that was conducted in the city of Santiago where these women had the opportunity to share their life stories by photographing and recording their environment.
