God's Country, Off Route 9 (2009)

Bruce Brewster, a desperate and debt-ridden ex-graduate student, is gulled into returning home to family-values country to play the part of "loyal son" in his estranged father's political campaign. He leaves behind a budding relationship with the woman he has secretly loved for two years - Sadie, the mother of his ex-girlfriend. He becomes entangled with an ex-high school classmate from his hometown when he mistakenly concludes that Sadie will never leave her husband for him.
