Destiny Hills (2009)

Life for the El Talalka tribe, a Bedouin family living in the Negev Desert, was always a struggle but recently the government has started demolishing their shacks in an attempt to urbanize and create a government-controlled municipality. DESTINY HILLS documents the everyday life of Muhammad who leads his tribe in the struggle to keep their way of life. Muhammad dreams of progress for his children but fights to keep the rich Bedouin culture alive in the shadow of modernity. The struggle turns fierce and Muhammad is left alone. Disillusioned and torn from his evading identity, he turns to Islam for answers.
