Kalpana tells the story about a writer Jorel who keeps in touch with his past through his stories. His latest story 'Kalpana' is about a loving couple Mychal and Kalpana. As unrealistic as it may seem Mychal and Kalpana are in a flawless relationship. Until one day they find out about Kalpana's illness. By controlling Mychal's story, Jorel realizes the power of imagination.
