Good People (2008)

A seemingly random string of murders begin to interweave itself into the disintegration of a patchwork family that has lost its cornerstone. With her husband dead, Misty must deal with the pressures of her step-family, while hiding her own past and building a new tomorrow for herself. However, the events of today are becoming more and more threatening, and the evening news is slowly losing the barrier that the TV screen once provided.
