No gore. The extent of the violence is a man being non-fatally injured by a bullet fired by a woman, the blood from the wound not standing out much; and some scenes of threatening aiming of a pistol involving a child.
In the scene with the gunshot wound (between chest and shoulder), the little bit of blood involved does not stand out due to dim, blue-colored lighting of the environment, and later the wounded man is shown covered in creamy milk chocolate which obscures the wound.
A man momentarily points a pistol at a child's face. In two scenes, a child points a pistol at an adult, firing into the air in one scene. There are also scenes in which a man points a pistol at another man.
Theft, smuggling and the "arts" of such, along with tension between a police officer and various thieves, are major themes of the story.
