Frederike finds a lump in her breast. The appointment book at her gynecologist is full, the intern on duty sends her home. When she finally manages to make an appointment, the diagnosis is breast cancer, a malignant tumor in the mammary glands. In Austria one of every eight women gets breast cancer at some time in her life. This particular type is statistically the most common form of cancer among women, and about 5,000 new cases are diagnosed each year. Approximately 1,700 women lose the battle. Together with director Sabine Derflinger Frederike, an actress at Graz�۪s Schauspielhaus, decides to make a film about her illness.
