In 1994, custody officer/writer-filmmaker David J. Sperling began to document the life of Mark David Allen, a 33 year old alcoholic in an attempt to help Mark get sober. Over the next 18 years, Sperling put together a cinematic diary of Mark's dark, yet remarkable journey.
