Scripture Cake: A Southern Cuisine Movie (2007)

Young Jazz plots with his white cousin to attend the Moon family reunion in order to write an essay about his family history. Pretending to be an exchange student from West Africa, Jazz will learn about the anti-miscegenation laws that drove his family apart in the early 1960s. The origin of a shared family tradition will help bring the family together.
