there are a few intense scenes i think, none are too bad though and they aren'y very frightening, but they might be a little unsettling for a younger audience.
a boy tells a racist joke to two black men and it clearly makes them uncomfortable.
a boy hits a man with a ruler and yells at him, and then asks if he'd like some more.
a boy demands that a man refers to him as Master Harold and the man explains the consequences, it rattles the boy a bit.
a boy throws a bottle of alcohol and it smashes against a wall.
this movie is based on racism in south africa in the 1950's and how it affected people's friendships and lives, that whole subject matter can be a bit heavy, for any aged person.
