During World War II, British commandos staged raids on Axis shipping in enemy ports by sending teams of saboteurs into heavily guarded ports using flimsy, specially-made canoes nicknamed "cockleshells." This documentary traces two of the most spectacularly successful efforts in which freighters and naval vessels in Bordeaux and Singapore where sunk or disabled by a handful of men, most of whom never returned from their mission.
