Throughout the movie, 12 yr old girls wear very mature clothing which could seem inappropriate to certain parents of viewers.

There is a scene near the beginning of the film where a girl is seen walking out of her house with a sweatsuit. When out of view of her house, she takes off the sweatsuit, revealing a more dressed up outfit: A flowy yellow top (which does not have sleeves) a gray fingertip length skirt, and black boots.

The outfit looks too 'grown up' for the 7th grader, as it makes her look like a buisness-women.

There is a scene towards the end of the film where a lip gloss project backfires; the lip gloss, made with peanuts, are given to girls who have peanut allergies. Due to the allergic reaction that occurs, the girls' lips turn red and inflate. The girls scream and start freaking out. The scene gets a bit intense, and thus may be a bit scary for younger viewers who can't understand what is going on.
