When one of the hijackers, (the lead hijacker) harasses the captain of the flight, his shirt is briefly hiked up showing some of his bare backside.

When a German lady is looking at the necklace picture of her son, she is seen wearing only underclothes.

A man's car is gunshot multiple times repeatedly with a machine gun. His driver is killed and his car is busted but he is unhurt. Some goons shove him out of the car at gunpoint.

Four hijackers, two men and two women who are Palestinian and Lebanese, hijack a Lufthansa Boeing 737 aircraft in midair. They brandish their weapons and force the passengers to surrender using threats and force. They even shove passengers and flight attendants into their seats, threaten to blow up the plane and kill everyone.

A man fatally shoots his pistol at the head of another man (the pilot of the plane) kneeling on the floor. He kills the captain with a targeted head shot without any remorse. Blood squirts out and splatters all over the cabin (not very graphic). Later when his corpse is being put away in a coat closet, his head and shirt are splattered with blood.

When the plane is being stormed by the antiterrorism GSG 9 squad, there is a gunfight between the hijackers and police force unit (but it's brief and lasts less than five units). Three of the four hijackers are shot dead and we see bloody bullet wounds, blood staining their clothes and some blood splattering around the cabin (not very graphic).

Multiple, many uses of "fuck" and "fucking" midway until the end of the movie. One use of "son of a bitch". A few uses of "shit" and "bitch". A use of "shit" in German. Some other profanity such as "fat pig", "damn", "stupid" "traitor", "dirty'', "idiot"

At the chancellery in Bonn, West German authorities, including the Chancellor and his interior ministers are seen smoking cigars throughout the movie. The chancellor is a chain smoker repeatedly smoking throughout the film.

The captain of the flight is also seen some smoking cigarettes, at home, and in the cockpit when the aircraft is at Dubai airport.

Some of the hijackers are also seen smoking inside the plane throughout the hijacking.

During the birthday celebration of one of the flight attendants, all the passengers drink champagne. Some of them get drunk.

Several other people are seen smoking cigarettes throughout the film.

Overall, the tone of the film is very dark and ominous. It is full of action, crime, mystery and suspense. The hijacking till the end of the film gives us the true suspense and it may frighten some younger viewers. The hijackers harassing the passengers, treating them like dirt can also be upsetting. In the scene where Captain Schumann returns to the plane only to face the wrath of Mahmud who kills Schumann without any remorse can be quite frightening and scary (this scene is known to be quite emotional after the captain's death and known to make several people cry). Amazingly, only a few people are killed in this movie but there are many others who survive but are held extremely close to death. In the scene where the aircraft has to make an emergency landing in the sand dirt field at Aden airport, it's full of mystery and suspense and can be frightening, but the aircraft remains intact. The aircraft has a couple of close calls when it lands, and eventually departs Aden International Airport. The hijackers are quite mean and torturous and can frighten some vewers for their brute. The terrorist leader, Captain Martyr Mahmud can be the most frightening to viewers as he is the most vicious, savage, hateful and sadistic. The gunfight inside the plane as it's being stormed by the GSG 9 troops is brief and lasts only a few minutes but there are several gunshots. Because it's sudden, it can also be considered intense.
