the movie contains violence and bloody images, but it's not severe. at the beginning lots of people are shot and we hear them scream. a man has a wound and a doctor helps him. a man is tortured in prison. scolding water is poured on a man. a place is bombarded and a woman dies as a result. we also see other scenes like: military groups attacking the citizens. lots of dead bodies lying. a man being hit in the head by a gun.

the whole movie has an unsettling tone. lots of people are shot. the main character is shot and prisoned for ten years. we see a woman in labor. a woman dies in front of her 2 children and they cry. we see places that are ruined by war. 3 men are shot. a place is bombarded and a little boy is outside running, her mother screams and cries. also the ending is disturbing as the sad truth of the protagonists life is revealed. overall it will be ok for teens and up.
