Dicky punches several people on the street and is then battered in the face by a few police officers. Micky tries to intervene and is grabbed by the police who break his hand with their baton.

Dicky has several violent outbursts that include hitting inanimate objects.

A few women fight briefly until they are broken up. One woman is punched in the face and another woman comments that her nose may be broken.

Much of the violence takes place in the boxing ring. We see Mickey get pummeled repeatedly on several occasions, and he beats up quite a few opponents as well. The fights involve intense punches with realistic sound and imagery. These fights induce cuts on the fighters (sometimes these are quite bloody)

Constant strong language

150 uses of "fuck" are interlaced with nearly 30 uses of "shit" and a bevy of other crudities, ranging from "ass" and "dick" to "damn" and "hell". "Jesus" and "God" are each used about 10 times. 3 uses of "cocksucker". Obscene gestures are made.

A main theme is Dicky's addiction to crack. He uses crack in some scenes, and some scenes take place in a drug house.

Dicky tries to make a little money by dealing crack, but it all goes wrong.

Scenes take place in a bar where many people are drinking and smoking cigars and cigarettes.

An HBO documentary is being filmed about Dicky being a junkie. Many people are shown watching it on TV, where Dicky says that it feels so good to be high all the time, and he goes into great detail about what it's like to get high. This portion of the film is dramatic and emotional.

Smoking is seen throughout the movie.

Alcohol is used many times throughout, and one character works in a bar.

During sparring, one man hits another very hard and then takes a cheap shot when the man is knocked down.

The boxing scenes are quite violent and intense.

The film is essentially about a family and the problems that plague them. A few verbal fights ensue.
