The Ruins (2008)

A woman in underwear straddles a man, also in underwear, touches his chest and it is implied, but not shown, that she will give him oral sex as she lost a wager to him in which oral sex was the winner's prize.

We see a woman's breast in profile and her back and buttocks as she dresses and applies sunscreen.

A man and a woman play a game that involves creating follow-on scenarious; "the carpet didn't match the drapes" and "she stuck her tongue down a guy's throat" is said.

A woman removes a towel and is seen naked, including breasts, for a couple of seconds while she gets dressed.

The violence is extremely graphic and very disturbing. Not for the weak of stomach.

A man gets shot in the chest with an arrow and is then shot in the face with a gun. Pretty graphic.

A man falls down a dark shaft, breaking his back and severely damaging his legs (the impact is not shown.)

A child is shot in the chest. Graphic but very little blood is seen.

A man with the broken back has to have his legs amputated with a hunting knife. Everything is shown (a rock being used to break the bones, the tattered flesh of the legs, the legs being removed with the knife, the scalding pan used to seal the wounds.) The man screams and writhes around in shock which makes it a very intense scene. His raw stumps can be seen a few times later in the film. Extremely graphic and very disturbing.

A woman has to have vines cut out of her body with a knife, including a deep cut to the leg and the lower back, during which she howls in pain. The same woman later begins to remove more vines herself and is seen digging in a gaping leg wound trying to remove the vines. She has several other self-inflicted cuts on her forehead, stomach and arms (the act of creating those isn't shown.)

A man is stabbed in the chest and dies, only a little blood appears around the knife wound through his t-shirt.

A man is shot in the chest with three arrows and then shot in the head with a gun (the gunshot is offscreen.)

A man has his hand slashed by a knife.

A man dies from vines forcing their way down his throat, suffocating him.

A woman is heavily daubed in blood.

Rotting corpses are seen amongst the vines a few times.

A woman is shown to have vines under the skin of her face and her eye becomes red with broken blood capilliaries.

Men and women drink alcoholic beverages, a woman is shown drunk, two men are shown unconscious after heavy drinking, a man drinks alcohol as an anaesthetic and a man uses alcohol as an antisceptic.

This is a very violent and disturbing horror film.

Many scenes involving self-mutilation, attack from vines and graphic dismemberment.
