Murder in Harber Woods (2006)

It has now been 4 years since the events of Murder After Dark part 2. For Detective Stockwell (Mike M. Burke) he is still struggling to find a new normal. In these last four years he has developed a close friendship with former suspect Cecilia Ray (Jennifer Wetmore) who wants more than just friendship. Stockwell is unsure after what his ex Marissa turned out to be. Meanwhile, hidden within the trees deep in Harber Woods, a blood thirsty killer waits patiently. Waiting for the moment his next victim will appear. His mouth salivates with anticipation. His heart pounds within his chest as he waits to satisfy his hunger. Just as Stockwell is feeling comfortable a new horror emerges. On a crisp autumn day, just days before Halloween, four friends go out into the woods for a hike only to go missing. One of these friends is Cecilia. With the serial killer hiding in the woods, Sheriff Bob (Karl Peterson) once again calls upon Stockwell to solve this mystery and find the missing four before it's too late. As Stockwell searches for the friends he comes across strange witnesses and dead mutilated bodies. It becomes clear that the four friends are now being hunted by a predator who won't rest until he gets all four. This is a stand-alone-film and the third in the Murder After Dark series. It's darker, scarier, and more in line with the horror movies of the 1980's and 1990's. As with the previous two films, the ending is more unbelievable and more shocking than the first two. You will not believe who the serial killer is and what he or she does with the victims. Be sure to lock all the doors and stay out of the woods.
