Saudade (1996)

Saudade is a documentary about music, passion and nostalgia. It highlights the motivations of five students, in the music department of the Rotterdam Conservatory, who live for and through music, their work, and the joy that making music gives them. Through close-ups, the film tries to uncover the essence of the music and take the viewer to the world of flamenco, tango, Indian, Brazilian and Caribbean music.
