In 1919 the revolution echoes through the Pamirs. However, in hard-to-reach villages the first messengers could not reach, life continued in the old way. The picture tells about the fate of an ordinary rural girl Nisso, who was born in the Pamirs in the pre-revolutionary years. About friendship, betrayal, love, devotion, hunger and cruelty, about how the the new regime came to the far and cold Pamir, that for the most of the year was cut off from the rest of the world.
