Tohfa (1947)

This movie is about Hindu-Muslim unity in India, but its release year 1947, was unfortunate as that was when the British divided a united India into India and Pakistan, the latter to create a state for the Muslim majority in the provinces of Punjab and East Bengal. As a result, amid Hindu Muslim riots, the movie either flopped or was withdrawn.
