A man is hit by the beak of a penguin, trying to get some eggs. The scene is made to be comical.

Some giant squids attack several people, and get electrocuted multiple times. One good man is said to be lost.

A woman falls very ill with constant coughing and high fever.

A woman has a nightmare, where she almost gets crushed by crumbling columns, nearly attacked by scary creatures, and caught by a massive whirlpool. There is also a brief but mild reference to death, hence a man standing in front of Bernadette's grave.

Overall two ships are attacked and sunken by the armored submarine in the entire film.
