The Deep Blue Good-by

Hopefully this is the movie adaptation of the brilliant John D. MacDonald book, which is one of many about Florida PI, Travis McGee. I always pictured Fred Ward as the rough and tumble and ecologically conscious veteran turned private investigator, and Robert Forster as his large best friend and party going economist, Meyer. Those two are two or three decades too old for those parts. I hope they pick some good alternatives.
