Although they are products of a new generation, Chan-ho and Sun-nyeo are forced to seperate by their parents and their marriages are arranged for them. Sun-nyeo's inlaws begin to mistreat her when she proves to be unable to bear a child and her mother-in-law hires a surrogate to produce an heir.
