The Shadowlands (2003)

An independent sci-fi drama in which a planet at the far reaches of space struggles between the supreme dominance of a maniacal dictator (played by Oscar-nominee Gary Busey) and basic survival. This struggle rests in the power of an ancient mysticism which has been outlawed. Those who live in the light are rich and free. Those below are doomed to a desperate existence in the depths of the Shadowlands.
