We Own the Night (2007)

A man and woman engage in foreplay. The man caresses the woman's thighs. He touches, exposes, and kisses her breasts. He slides his hand into her pants, and she is shown to be aroused.

Two topless women are shown dancing at a club while men admire them and make some sexually-suggestive remarks. A man lies down on top of a woman and kisses/caresses her. A woman sits on a man's lap. Men and women are shown partying (Some women are scaintly clad or wear undergarments). Some sexually-suggestive remarks are made.

The movie opens with several still images of people that we presume are dead and people being manhandled by police.

A man is shot in the head while driving a car (Blood splatters on the windows). From a distance, we see a man being shot in the head while driving a car (His head jerks sideways sharply and he collapses). An injured man falls out of a crashed car and dies (We see blood covering the side of his head). A man is punched and kneed repeatedly, before his attacker presses down on his eyes (The victim screams in pain).

A man writhes on the ground, with a very visible, graphic cut on his throat (Blood pours out of the wound and onto the floor). We later hear that the man cut his own throat open, rather than talk to the police. A man is shot in the face by a masked gunman (Blood is shown spraying in slow-motion). A man jumps through a window and smashes into a fence (The fence breaks and he lands on the ground and screams in pain; blood is shown covering his face).

A man is stabbed repeatedly in the throat with a blade; he screams and spits blood (Blood also gushes from his wounds); the blood is also shown splattering on his attacker's face. He is then shot in the back of the head by another man (Blood splatters).

A man is shot in the chest via shotgun (A bloody bullet wound is shown, and he bleeds before dying). A shootout is depicted with multiple characters being shot and killed (Blood splatters on walls, doors and other surfaces).

A man is shot in the forehead (Blood splatters briefly), and we see the bloody bullet wound in a few scenes. Police officers forcibly restrain and throw suspects to the ground, slapping and kicking them. A man describes and jokes about a murder in which a man's head was found in the middle of the street with his "dick" in his mouth. A shootout sequences depicts several characters exchanging gunfire and being shot (Some blood is seen spraying). Many killings take place throughout the movie. Some brief fight scenes occur, with characters punching and slapping one-another. A man is punched in the face (We see him later with a bloodied nose). A man lies in a hospital bed, and we see a bloody bandadge on his face (We hear that he was shot in the jaw). We see some black and white photos of corpses and men holding guns. Body Count: 12

Drug use is depicted and discussed constantly throughout the film. A character snorts/samples cocaine. Two characters share marijuana; a man tastes cocaine and expresses pleasure. Several characters are said to be linked to or are drug dealers. Men and women are shown cutting up, handling and packaging cocaine in an extended scene. Characters smoke in various scenes, as well as drink alcohol occassionally. A central topic of the film is the 1980 "War on Drugs".
